The Madonna Eye Lift Tunbridge Wells

The Madonna Eye Lift – an alternative treatment to Blepharoplasty in Tunbridge Wells, Kent & Sussex

Before & After Photos
Tightens wrinkled, loose skin of upper and lower eyelids. Elevates droopy eyebrows that make you look sad or tired. Dramatically reduces appearance of dark circles.

Drooping eyelids, dark rings, eye bags, and wrinkles can make you look a lot sadder than you feel, not to mention plain ‘old’. And your eyes have so much to do with who you are that it’s a shame not to do something to put the twinkle back in them. Luckily, there’s a new state of the art non-invasive procedure to swap those angry eyes for a youthful, fresh gaze.

The Madonna Lift is a new technique using a fractional CO2 laser to revamp your entire eye area, to reduce the appearance of fine lines, dark rings and wrinkles and lift the eyebrow for a younger look. The fractional CO2 laser beams remove tiny fractions of skin creating tiny microscopic channels in the tissue so that new collagen can grow back in its place. Because only a fraction of the skin is removed, healing is very quick and pretty painless. You’ll get results similar to eyelid surgery, without the risks or the down time! What’s more, the CO2 Laser will stimulate new collagen production, bringing improvements to the skin tone and texture which will continue for 3-6 months after the procedure. Results can last up to five years and even longer with good skincare.

When do I see result?

You will see skin tightening and shrinking immediately after the treatment but the quality of the skin continues to improve over the coming months. Therefore optimum/final results of the treatment are most apparent around 3–6 months after the procedure

You can expect to have long-lasting benefits from CO2 Laser Resurfacing. Obviously, the more aggressive the treatment the greater and longer-lasting benefit you will receive. It also depends on how well you protect your skin from the sun and other factors that cause ageing like your general health, smoking, changes in weight, etc.  We will recommend a home skincare and maintenance treatment programme before and after laser resurfacing to prepare your skin for the procedure, speed up healing and maintain your results. The results of CO2 Laser treatment are long-term and, with a proper sun protection and home care regime, can last for many years.

CO2 Laser Resurfacing can be combined with other treatments although we cannot do other treatments in the same area(s) treated on the same day.  We advise you to wait for full recovery of the skin. We may recommend Botox treatment 2 weeks prior to the laser treatment as studies have shown that this may enhance the effect on wrinkles caused by movement.  We will then usually wait 2 weeks before we would offer dermal filler treatment if this is requested.

All laser procedures will require a test patch a minimum of 24 hours prior to treatment. This is a standard requirement for safety and insurance purposes.

The DEKA SmartXide2 CO2 Laser & RF System will treat only a fraction of the skin at a time. The Laser will remove the excess skin by drilling many minuscule holes (thinner than human hair) deep into the dermis and simultaneously deliver heat to shrink and close these tiny holes. Effectively removing a similar amount of extra skin as the plastic surgeon will excise during Blepharoplasty, without scars, unwanted asymmetry and with less complications and recovery time

The number of treatments will depend on the extent of your wrinkles, sun damage and on how much downtime you can manage. In most cases only 1 treatment is needed, but for deeper wrinkles and additional treatments may be required for optimum results

Before the procedure is done, your doctor will apply a topical numbing cream to the eyelids and protect the eye area with an eye shield. Most people experience little discomfort during and after the procedure. At the most, you may feel a little tingling. While some redness and puffiness should be expected for a day or two afterward, you can apply makeup after the procedure to conceal it and we’d recommend a makeup that allows your skin to breathe such as Glominerals. We recommend you use sun screen and hydrate your skin with a moisturiser.
