Drooping eyelids, dark circles, bags or sunken hollows in the infra-orbital area under the eyes can be a premature sign of ageing or make an individual look unhealthy or tired. As we age, one of the changes which is commonly noticed and commented on is the appearance and gradual worsening of dark circles under the eye. By filling this area with a dermal filler the appearance of the dark circles and hollows can be dramatically reduced making the eyes look brighter and rejuvenated. What to Expect
Your practitioner will administer a series of micro-injections along the tear trough hollows and gently massage the area to ensure the gel is evenly distributed. The treated area may be slightly red and swollen for a few days which can easily be disguised with makeup 24 hours after procedure. With any injectable procedure there is the risk of bruising and this can last up to 2 weeks and in some cases even longer.

You will see immediate results and once the initial swelling and redness has subsided we can top up the tear trough if required to ensure the very best correction.
The results typically last anywhere from 6-12 months although the exact length of time will depend on the structure of your skin and other factors such as lifestyle and age. Additional touch up treatments can be performed at any time after the initial treatment to achieve the desired effect.
Some patients may not be suitable for this procedure and may need alternative methods to treat their tear troughs (please see below.) Patients may benefit from a combination of the Madonna Eyelift and tear trough injections. This can also be used together with cheek dermal filler injections to achieve the desired effect.
