Viscoderm is an innovative hybrid injectable treatment developed by IBSA
Viscoderm® is referred to as a “skin booster” product line for intradermal use. This is now available in Tunbridge Wells, Kent.
Viscoderm
Viscoderm is an innovative hybrid injectable treatment developed by IBSA, the scientists behind Profhilo, and offers tightly packed pure Hyaluronic acid which provides a dual action “hydro” and “stretch” effect on the skin.
“Hydrostretching” is a deeply hydrating treatment which improves elasticity radiance and skin smoothness whilst “stretching” or “ironing out” superficial wrinkles and expression lines on the face. It is especially suited to lines across the forehead, around the mouth and around the eyes.
Is treatment with Viscoderm the same as Profhilo or a Dermal Filler?
Treatment with Viscoderm rests between skin boosting Profhilo and dermal filler. IBSA, the manufacturers behind Profhilo recognised the need for a long-lasting treatment to soften fine lines and wrinkles without the need for fillers, whilst maintaining hydration and supporting the skin.
Viscoderm integrates synergistically with you skin to offer natural long-lasting results.
Am I suitable for treatment with Viscoderm?
At rtwskin we always promote a full a face approach that highlights and emphasises your natural beauty. One of our highly skilled team members will be able to advise and assess your suitability for treatment with Viscoderm. Viscoderm is best used in targeted areas such as the lines around the nose, mouth, eyes and across the forehead.
Additionally, Viscoderm is a beautiful treatment following a course of Profhilo to soften any stubborn expression lines visible after profhilo.
How long does the treatment take?
Please allow up to 45 minutes for treatment with Viscoderm Hydrobooster.
Is the procedure painful?
We care for a variety of individuals of varying ages who all have different tolerances to pain. Depending on the technique used, prior to treatment a local anaesthetic injection or topical anaesthetic cream may be applied to minimise discomfort.
What are the potential side effects?
As with any injectable treatments the area may be slightly swollen and tender for 24 hours, with a risk of minimal bruising and redness which resolves in a matter of hours or a few days.
With some medication, there may be an increased risk of bruising, however, this can be discussed in your initial consultation.
How soon can I expect to see results?
Instantly lines and furrows will soften, with further improvement expected over the next 4 weeks. We do recommend a follow up appointment 8 weeks following treatment, however, unlike Profhilo, it is unlikely you would need a second treatments unless advised by one of our clinicians.
What areas can be treated?
Any expression / dynamic lines such as the lines around the nose, mouth, eyes and across the forehead.
How should I look after my skin immediately following treatment?
On the day of your consultation and/or treatment we will provide you with the aftercare advice we would like you to follow.
As with all injectable treatments we kindly ask that you do not apply any make-up, false tan, thick moisturisers or exfoliate on the day of treatment. We also ask that you do not use a steam-room, sauna, sunbed or perform any strenuous exercise.
Alcohol can increase and exacerbate treatment, we therefore suggest you avoid drinking alcohol on the day of treatment.
