Our PDO (Polydioxanone) threads are made by Intraline, and are the cosmetic version of the re-absorbable sutures that heart surgeons have used for over 40 years. They are very safe, and virtually non-allergenic, and are manufactured through the polymerization of p-dioxanone to create a re-absorbable sterile filament which produces fibrosis in the surrounding tissue, stimulating the body’s own production of type I and II collagen. The PDO threads are broken down naturally within 6-12 months, leaving visibly improved skin texture and a more youthful appearance.

PDO Threads are sutures that are placed underneath the skin to lift and tighten sagging tissues through mechanical lifting, as well as by stimulating natural collagen production. The barbed threads physically lift/tighten the skin immediately, while the long-term benefits of increased collagen, elastin, and hyaluronic acid production take time to take effect. PDO threads also stimulate new blood vessels, improve lymphatic drainage, and improve skin quality visibly with a brighter, smoother appearance.

Botulinum toxin can be used to lift mainly the medial (close to the nose) and central portion of the eyebrows. Lateral portion of the eyebrows or the tails usually can not be lifted with the toxin injections and need extra support which can be temple filler or threads.

The Cat Eyes trend extends the shape of the eye; giving your eyes more of an almond shaped appearance.

In order to achieve this striking cat / foxy eyed look, the PDO threads will be put in place to lift the outer corner of the upper eyelid; slightly pulling it towards the temple.

Combining threads with temple fillers and botulinum toxin injections at the same time will give superior results and results will last longer.

There is no downtime for the eyebrows thread lift and minimum swelling and bruising is expected for 2-3 days.

Threads are self-dissolvable in 6-9 months and results last up to 12-15 months.

This procedure takes only 30 min and there minimum or no downtime.

The Intraline PDO Thread treatment is a minimally invasive procedure, requiring little recovery time. You may encounter mild side effects such as bruising, swelling and mild discomfort. Your practitioner may advise you to take medications (pre or post treatment) to reduce the chances of infection or complications.

The best candidates those who are aged 30+, who are experiencing the appearance of a drooping brow, lines to the forehead, skin laxity or skin sagging to the mid or lower face, visible jowls and loose skin to the neck.

The results will depend on age, lifestyle, medical background and skin quality. You will notice some visible results immediately after treatment, however results will improve over of a period of 2 to 6 weeks as the PDO Threads stimulate the body’s natural production of collagen, elastin and hyaluronic acid.

The Intraline PDO Threads will gradually be absorbed by the body over 6 months, leaving your skin looking younger and more radiant, and will last for around 12-18 months. For longer lasting results, it is recommended to have additional threads injected at regular intervals after the initial treatment. Your clinician can advise you on when you should have additional injections.
