Actinic Keratosis Treatments in Tunbridge Wells, Kent & Sussex
Are you Going Through a Rough Patch?
It’s a funny name and a lot of people might not even know what is it, but if you’re on this page, chances are you do. Actinic Keratosis, which literally means ‘thickening of the epidermis through sunlight’ is a small area of skin in which the cellular activity has permanently changed. When you run your finger over it, it might feel like a little patch of sand paper which can become raised and discoloured. If you’ve naughtily been sunning yourself for years or are a lover of beach holidays you will already know the reason for its occupancy. Some Actinic Keratoses can eventually after a time develop into a type of skin cancer, which isn’t what any of us want. But don’t despair because we’re here to see that doesn’t happen and get rid of the sun-induced skin lesion before it can become suspicious.
