What is Hay fever?

Also known as allergic rhinitis, hayfever is a type of inflammation in the nose which occurs when then immune system overreacts to allergens in the air.

Symptoms include : sneezing, itching in the nose, mouth, throat and ears. A runny/blocked nose, post-nasal drip, allergic conjunctivitis, red or watery eyes, loss of smell, pain in the temples , forehead and ears. Am I suitable for treatment?

Treatment with Kenalog is suitable for those who have a history of hay fever and other allergies where both non-prescription and prescription medications have failed to reduce signs and symptoms of the condition.

Are there any side effects?

As with all treatments there are potential risks and side effects, however, our practitioners take precautions to minimise potential risks involved. As with all intramuscular injections, the area will feel tender and bruised following treatment with Kenalog.

How quickly will I feel a difference and how long do results last?

Treatment with Kenalog for Hay fever starts to work within 48 hours and can last for up to 40 days.

How many treatments will I require?

Those with sever allergies may require up to 3 treatments, 6 weeks apart.
